Terms of Service

By using the Renaissance Cinemas website or app to book a ticket, you agree to these terms. The warnings shown before you choose seats and before you pay also apply.

Bookings

  • A booking is not confirmed until payment is completed and a confirmation is sent. A seat in a temporary booking may be released if the timer ends, or if you start a booking for a different show.
  • Check the movie, showtime, cinema name, and address before you pay. We cannot cancel or exchange a ticket because the branch or showtime was wrong.
  • Choosing agree on the confirmation window means you accept the entry and payment warnings shown there.

Account and phone number

  • Some features, including the Digital Wallet and cancellation into the wallet, require you to be signed in with a verified mobile number.
  • Do not share your password or verification code. A Renaissance Cinemas employee will not ask for access to your wallet or for that code.

Entering the cinema

  • Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the auditorium.
  • Food and drinks from outside the cinema are not allowed.
  • The age rating on the film applies (8+, 12+, 16+, 18+, or 21+). Anyone under that rating is not admitted to that show.
  • The price of a 3D film does not include 3D glasses.
  • A show dubbed in Arabic is not presented with 3D glasses.
  • At Down Town cinema in Cairo, seating in the auditorium is by order of entry, not by the seat number on the ticket.
  • Keep your booking confirmation to show at the cinema if asked.

Payment

  • The payment methods shown at checkout are the ones available for that order. The amount due is the tickets plus online booking fees, and any products you add to the order.
  • If the Digital Wallet balance does not cover the full amount, the available balance is used and only the remainder is paid by card or an allowed mobile wallet.
  • Do not pay with Orange Cash, We Pay, or Etisalat Cash when a fault warning is shown for those wallets. The booking may not be completed.
  • A Fawry payment must be completed within the time and with the reference number shown on screen, or the booking is not confirmed.

Refunds and exchanges

After confirmation, tickets are not refunded to a card or in cash and are not exchanged. The exception is cancellation into the Digital Wallet until 1 hour(s) before the show, for an eligible booking. The booking total, including online fees, is credited to the wallet for 3 months. Offers and vouchers

  • An offer may be unavailable at a particular cinema or on a particular day. That limit is shown when you book.
  • A gift voucher or free invitation cannot be cashed, split, combined with another offer, or sold. It is redeemed only at the box office of the same cinema, and only on the original booking day.
  • Renaissance Cinemas may change or stop an offer.

Privacy and changes

How information is collected and used is described in the Privacy Policy. These terms may be updated by publishing a new version on this page. The published version applies when you use the site.
