Synopsis
In a cotton-farming village in Sudan, teenage Nafisa is raised on powerful stories from her grandmother, Al-Sit. When a businessman arrives with a new development plan and genetically modified cotton, Nafisa becomes part of a struggle over the future of her village, her family, and her own destiny.
